¡Hola, Folks!
It’s been a little over a month since our last post! Since the summer ended, the four of us have really just been normalizing and decompressing a bit after a jam-packed summer of fun and amazing but equally grueling shows. We’re proud of having produced our La Junta seasonal events at three different venues with distinctly different vibes (and challenges); of having produced a show with a Latin Grammy®-nominated international artist; and of producing shows for brand new partner clients, all in the space of six months. This while still growing our monthly late night PIÑA sessions!
Even though we’re now in autumn and starting to shift things indoors, last weekend the LA area was blessed with a few warm days and nights, in timely fashion for our second salsa music event with the good folks who represent the Old Pasadena business and arts district. Below is collection of photos taken by our own Prescilla and Yukicito throughout the opening evening of this year’s Old Pasadena Day of the Dead celebration. For 2018, it was newly titled ‘SALSA ON THE ALLEY’. Based on the comments on social media channels, it looks like we had a hit! We already cannot wait until next year! Sincerest gratitude to the OPMD staff, the City of Pasadena, Cuba Rumba (featured live band), Prestige Dance & Fine Arts (dance instructors), Sólido (congas) and Rubén Salinas (saxophone).
Enjoy the photos.
